The Resilience In The Anthropocene (RITA) Summit was a three-day online event created by the Loka Initiative through a collaborative process to share experience, science, scholarship, and analysis on the most recent findings around eco-anxiety, climate distress, environmental grief, solastalgia, and other conditions; examine these findings through the lens of intersectionality and justice; and make available contemplative and other wellness expertise that can help increase resilience and well-being of people at the frontlines of environmental and climate impacts.

Loka co-hosted an in-person event with Tergar Madison on the topic of Buddhist and Environmental Justice with Lama Rod Owens and Repa Justin Von Bujdoss as speakers and Dekila as the moderator. The 4-day Creation at the Crossroads events are held in September of each year. These closed-door events are designed to bring a cohort of 15-20 Evangelical pastors and church leaders to Madison to meet with and be in close dialogue with scientists, theologians, and experts on creation care and climate action. The 2024 event is the 3rd in-person gathering although there have been 5 total events.

In 2021, Loka co-hosted the Sacred Wisdom Sacred Earth convening with the International Mayan League. With close to 1,000 registered participants, the 3-day online convening focused on 5 themes: Food, Water, Medicine, Sovereignty and Spirit and was entirely Indigenous-led, with the goal of sharing Indigenous ecological and spiritual knowledge as means of sustenance for all Indigenous peoples around the world. The eventual outcome of this convening was Loka’s commitment in 2022 to work with a core team of Native and Indigenous leaders and executive produce a documentary that focuses on Indigenous wisdom of the Great Lakes tribes in Wisconsin. The Loka Initiative launched in April 2019 by bringing together 20+ senior faith leaders from different religious traditions and culture keepers of Indigenous traditions, 20+ experts in the nexus of faith and ecology, and 20+ scientists, economists, academics, policy administrators, business leaders and representatives from the public sector from around the world to co-create Loka's priorities. The 3-day event was held at Holy Wisdom Monastery in Madison, WI.
